BLACKBURN have signed nomadic French right-back Pascal Chimbonda from Spurs in a pounds 2m deal. Serial signee Chimbonda, who has played for Wigan, Spurs twice and briefly Sunderland in the past three seasons, could be switched to the left to replace Stephen Warnock who has joined Aston Villa for pounds 6m.

SUNDERLAND boss Steve Bruce has confirmed interest in Hull centre-back Michael Turner while Ghana defender John Mensah will arrive at the Stadium of Light on a season-long loan from French club Lyon. Bruce will offer Nyron Nosworthy and Daryl Murphy plus pounds 6m for Turner.
