FABIO CAPELLO Fabio Capello (born June 18, 1946 in San Canzian d'Isonzo, Gorizia) is an Italian football manager and former professional player who most recently coached Real Madrid. last night promised David Beckham the chance to equal Bobby Moore's England record - and said it was all thanks to AC Milan.

Beckham (above) will equal Moore's 108 cap record for an outfield player if he makes an appearance against Spain in Seville next month.

And England coach Capello, speaking on an Italian TV chat show, said: "I personally advised Silvio Berlusconi to take him on board.

"Tactically he is very strong and he is a serious professional. Of course he doesn't have the sprinting speed he used to have any more but tactically he is very clever and can still have a role in midfield for us."
