JENS LEHMANN is worried his fellow goalkeepers could be left in a "wheelchair" if they are not given more protection. Chelsea number one Petr Cech and stand-in keeper Carlo Cudicini were involved in horrendous clashes at the weekend. Whether or not there was intent in either of the incidents remains a matter for debate. Lehmann, though, wants tougher action taken against players who use rough-house tactics on keepers to avoid even worse injury in the future. The German international declared: "Yes, it is a man's game - but what you have to consider as well is these men have children and wives and their children do not want to see their fathers end up with lifelong damage, driven around in a wheelchair or not being able to work anymore."
