ST HELENS will be hosting a `Legends of League' evening on Friday, November, 19 on the eve On the Eve (Накануне in Russian) is the third novel by famous Russian writer Ivan Turgenev, best known for his short stories and the novel Fathers and Sons.  of the last Tri-Nations group match between Great Britain and New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. .

 legends in attendance will be Noel Cleal, Steve Roach and Gary Freeman (pictured in cartoon form, right).

`Blocker' Roach represented Australia 19 times at prop-forward and toured the UK in 1986 and 1990, also enjoying a spell with Warrington in this country.

`The Whiz' Freeman both captained and coached New Zealand, and played a record equalling 46 Tests for the Kiwis.

But the man who most local fans may be keen to rub shoulders with is `Crusher' Cleal.

Mentor to Saints' latest Australian star signing Jamie Lyon, Cleal had a great spell in England at Widnes.

The former pig-wrestling `garbologist' (dustman to you and I) also coached at Hull to a premiership final success.

Starting at 7pm, the evening is at Touchlines.
