Football Echo: Royal Blue: Talk is cheap, but Carsley's card could be costly.

Byline: SCOTT McLEOD: LOCKED OUT AFTER GETTING HOME Getting Home (Simplified Chinese: 落叶归根; Traditional Chinese: 落葉歸根; Pinyin:  LATE ON WEDNESDAY

LEE CARSLEY Lee Carsley (born February 28, 1974 in Birmingham, England) is a professional football player for Everton, and who represents the Republic of Ireland internationally (his grandmother is from Dunmanway, County Cork).  has been asked on a number of occasions this season if he would mind doing an interview with the ECHO.

On each occasion the midfielder has responded with the phrase `talk is cheap'. He is one of the most affable af·fa·ble
adj.
1. Easy and pleasant to speak to; approachable.

2. Gentle and gracious: an affable smile.
, approachable players in David Moyes' squad.

He will willingly stop and chat about how things are going. But when it is on the record, he ducks away. It is an attitude which has been reflected on the pitch.

Carsley has been crucial to Everton's recent run of fine form, providing excellent cover for the back four while also showing there is more to his game than merely utilising his disruptive qualities.

The great irony is that, now he is suspended, his importance will be felt more than ever.
