ROVERS will resist making wholesale changes for Tuesday night's LDV Vans Trophy tie with Port Vale.

It was thought Brian Little would use the fixture to rest key personnel such as Jason McAteer and Mark Rankine. However, the manager has made it clear he wants to progress in the competition.

The Rovers boss said: ``I want to win on Tuesday night so I will pick my best team.

``We had a disappointment a couple of weeks ago against Bradford.

I didn't enjoy it. I just don't want to lose games.

``We will try to win every game.

``That's not to say there won't be a change, but I genuinely want to pick as strong a side as I can. ``I want to win the game. ''

Rovers are number 44 in the draw, which takes place shortly after 5pm.

Vauxhall Motors will take the number 50 ball if they overcome Northwich Victoria in today's fourth qualifying round.
