THE League has been saddened by the death of Life Vice President Charles Campbell Charles Campbell can refer to several people:
  • Charles Campbell, 2nd Baron Glenavy, aristocrat
  • Charles C. Campbell, US Army general and FORSCOM commander
  • Charles Rodman Campbell, executed convict

Charles was a referee A judicial officer who presides over civil hearings but usually does not have the authority or power to render judgment.

Referees are usually appointed by a judge in the district in which the judge presides.
 for 12 years in both the Liverpool Business Houses League and latterly the I-Zingari League, which became his footballing home for the rest of his life.

He was the League registrar for over 40 years, in which time he seldom missed a league meeting, while also becoming a Vice-President of the Liverpool County Football Association.

His passing leaves both the league and County FA without a loyal and devoted servant.
