LIVERPOOL chairman David Moores David R Moores (born 1945) is the former chairman (1991-2007) and now honorary life president of Liverpool F.C. Liverpool FC
He became Chairman on 18 September 1991. He owned 17,850 shares in Liverpool F.C. which represented 51% of the club.
 has been targeted for a fresh pounds 70million buy-out bid by a Scandinavian consortium.

Norwegian business tycoons Oystein Stray Spetalen and Petter Stordalen Petter Anker Stordalen (born 29 November 1962) is a Norwegian investor and hotel "tycoon".

Following a successful start in business as the owner of the Steen & Strøm shopping center chain, Stordalen is the new big name in the Scandinavian hotel world.
 have been trying to buy a major stake in the club but will not go ahead unless they get the full support of existing shareholders.

That has led them to try to get extra financial backing from Danish billionaire Flemming Ostergaard.

It is understood that Ostergaard and several other Danish investors have been approached about a possible takeover of Liverpool.

Chairman Moores and chief executive Rick Parry Rick Parry (born on 23rd February 1955) is the chief executive of Liverpool Football Club, and former head of the FA Premier League. Career
Rick Parry was educated at Ellesmere Port Grammar School and the University of Liverpool.
 have held talks with several potential investors, including the Scandinavians, but no deal has been brokered.

Moores would welcome major new investment but has been reluctant to sell out completely.

Spetalen and Stordalen had been put off by other Liverpool shareholders being reluctant to surrender their stake in the club. However, if they can raise enough support and finance for a full takeover then they will make a firm offer to buy out Moores.
