Football: pounds 50k blow for Clyde.

CLYDE look set to miss out on a pounds 50,000 compensation bonus when Tom Brighton Tom Brighton (born March 28, 1984 in Irvine) is a Scottish footballer who currently plays for Millwall.

Brighton began his career at Rangers, where he played only 1 game, before going to Scunthorpe for a short loan spell.
 completes his move to Millwall.

The former Rangers striker has already agreed terms with the League One outfit and will meet Lions boss Nigel Spackman Nigel James Spackman (born December 2, 1960 in Romsey Hampshire) is a football manager and former player who is currently without a job, as he recently left Millwall. He was formerly a midfield player who was an integral part of the much-admired Liverpool team of 1988.  in London today.

Brighton is free to join Millwall on a Bosman, but Clyde should have been entitled to compensation because he is under 23.

However, this is only applies if a player's former club makes him a new contract offer within 60 days of his old deal expiring - and Clyde failed to do so.
