DERRY City Derry City can refer to:

 may be entertaining Manchester United next Monday night but team boss Kevin Mahon Kevin Mahon is a former football player and manager, most notable for his double cup success with Derry City F.C.

Mahon began his career at Athlone Town A.F.C. at the age of 16 after turning down a move to Arsenal F.C.
, is more concerned with tonight's vital League fixture against Bray Wanderers (7.30pm)

Having lost his last two fixtures against Shamrock Rovers and Longford Town, Derry have dropped off the pace and Mahon is anxious to arrest the slide.

He will welcome the return of Liam Coyle Liam Coyle (born 21 May 1968 in Derry) was a Northern Irish footballer who plied his trade with Derry City of the League of Ireland from 1988 until 2003. He is remembered for scoring a hat-trick on his debut against Cobh Ramblers on 6 November, 1988.  to full fitness, his star striker having missed the previous two games due to injury and illness.

"Liam has trained this week and is fit to play against Bray," declared Mahon last night.

Coyle will spearhead the Derry frontline but, as yet, Mahon is undecided as to who will join him.

Youngsters Brendan Devlin and Stephen Parkhouse will challenge for the place as will Gary Beckett Gary Beckett (born on July 24, 1973 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland) is an Irish footballer who currently plays with League of Ireland club Derry City. Career .

"I have a few decisions to make before the kick off and I'm also considering the possibility of giving Russell Payne Russell Payne (born 13 July 1975 in Washington) was an American footballer who played in the goalkeeping position.

The former Maryland Terrapins player recently returned to College Park as an assistant coach.
 an opportunity to prove himself in goal," confirmed the Derry boss.

Payne, a registered player with American side Boston Bulldogs, is at the Brandywell on trial but Mahon has been unable to watch the player perform in a competitive game.

Eddie McCallion completes a two-match ban so Joe Harkin is expected to be called upon to deputise dep´u`tise
