DAVID BECKHAM'S match-winning display for England against Croatia made waves in Spain yesterday.

Beckham was ridiculed for his performance for Real Madrid at the weekend, but it was very different after scoring one and making another goal in England's 3-1 win.

Newspaper Marca ran a page seven headline "Beckham the cult returns to England" and waxed lyrical lyr·i·cal
