Stephen "Steve" McClaren (born 3 May 1961) is an English former professional footballer and the current manager of the England national football team, having succeeded Sven-Göran Eriksson on 1 August2006.

But McClaren claimed he had not seen yesterday's Mirror Sport back page, despite having an army of FA press officers monitoring his meida coverage.

McClaren said: "I've not read anything. I don't really want to make any comment on that. It warrants no response from me."
