Football: Little to cheer about in Munste.Byline: BERNARD FLYNN Bernard Flynn is a retired inter-county Irish Gaelic footballer for County Meath in Ireland. He enjoyed much success play inter-county football in the eighty's & early ninety's on the Meath team's managed by Sean Boylan. For Meath he usually played at Full Forward. I CAUGHT THE Kerry-Waterford game on RTE (1) See runtime engine. (2) (Real-Time Executive) The operating system used in the HP 1000 series. See HP 1000. and my overriding feeling watching it was that it was a shame the Louth-Wicklow replay wasn't on 'live'. Kerry's demolition of the Deise just shows you where Clare football is right now. If it wasn't for an heroic full-back line, Waterford would have been completely wiped out. But it was bad enough as it was. It also wasn't good to see only 2,500 to 3,000 people at the game. Is that the best the Waterford public can do in terms of supporting their team? Kerry were able to play well within themselves and, on a positive note for Pat O'Shea Pat O'Shea may refer to:
With Seamus Moynihan and Mike McCarthy gone from his back-line, that was important for the new manager. Of real concern however was the performance of Kieran Donaghy. He didn't look fresh or match fit and that was strange. Pat O'Shea must focus now on addressing that because Cork will be up for their next meeting with Kerry. It's up front where Cork had to improve and they have improved, James Masters is getting the support he needs now. Masters hasn't really done it against Kerry in the past but the good news for the Rebels is that there are other forwards there now who can take responsibility. |
