The midfielder, who was a mainstay of the team under O'Neill, admits his early fears over the change of manager have proved unfounded.

Lennon told the Celtic View: "I have a very good relationship with the manager. He's been brilliant for me.

"I thought things might be difficult at first, making the change from Martin with whom I had nine great years.

"I'll never forget what he has done for me, but the manager has made life easy for me and I just want to respond in the same way and make life easier for him.

"There are a few extra responsibilities, but I am really enjoying it."
