Football: Legend Aldo keen on Kop reunion.

John William Aldridge (born Liverpool, 18 September 1958). Aldridge is a former Republic of Ireland international striker.
 admits he cannot wait to play in front of the Kop again.

Tomorrow the former striker will line u p alongside a string of Liverpool legends at the world famous stadium to raise money for survivors of the Asian tsunami.

'None of the players thought we would get to play in front of 30,000 people at Anfield again,' said Aldo. 'We thought that was all in the past. I'm really looking forward to Sunday's game. It's great to be involved.'

The Anfield charity match has been organised by former Red Jason Mc Ateer, now captain of Tranmere Rovers (pictured above warming up for the event).

Former Kop stars including Kenny Dalglish Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish MBE (born 4 March 1951 in Dalmarnock, Glasgow) is a former Scottish international football player. He was famous for his successes with Celtic in the 1970s and with the English club Liverpool in the 1970s and 1980s. , Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler and Alan Hansen will pull on the red shirt once again as they take on a celebrity XI featuring singer Brian Mc Fadden, Westlife star Nicky Byrne, rock group Kasabian and former Republic of Ireland footballer Niall Quinn.
