MIDDLESBROUGH Under 15s are through to the Ayresome Park Trophy Final following a 1-0 semi final victory against Stockton at Northfield School.

The game was evenly contested from start to finish but it was Middlesbrough who broke the deadlock when Steven Snaith headed home from a Callum Wilson cross in the dying seconds to book his side a place in the final.

Middlesbrough Under 14s made it a double, running out 2-1 winners against Stockton's younger representative side in a MacIntosh Trophy game at Ian Ramsey School.

Middlesbrough made a dream start when Nathan Lowe netted after just two minutes. James Coupland doubled his side's tally on 15 minutes.

Stockton pulled a goal back courtesy of an opponent following sustained pressure from Max Craggs two minutes after the restart, but Middlesbrough defended well throughout the second half to keep the home side at bay.

Stockton Under 14s earned a point a few days earlier with a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool in a MacIntosh Trophy and Hartlepool Hospital Cup double header.

Steve Liddle gave Stockton the lead on the half hour but the visitors hit back at the start of the second half to claim a share of the spoils.

Stockton Under 13s failed to make progress in the Buckle Trophy when they suffered a narrow 2-1 reverse against Middlesbrough at Northfield School, despite taking the lead through Ryan Chance after 20 minutes.

The visitors came back strongly to level the scores six minutes later and grabbed the winner in the dying minutes of an entertaining match.
