Football: Lampard aims to peak at right time.

"These are the tournaments you want to look back at at the end of your career and say 'I was successful' rather than thinking, 'I wish I could have done better in that World Cup or that European Championships'.

"You want to have no regrets when you finish and people will gauge you on how you perform on those big occasions." Lampard admitted: "Euro 2004 was a great memory for me. It was not a turning point but a great moment in my career and people then start to talk about you and you feel more confident in yourself with that behind you.

"It was one of the favourite parts of my career. I felt it was going well for me. I wanted to get out there every game and keep scoring and keep being in a team that was doing well."
