MIKKEL Bischoff Mikkel Bischoff (born February 3, 1982) is a Danish professional footballer who plays for Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga. At 6'4"/1.93 m he adds height to any defence and can play at full back or even as a striker.  today admitted he would relish a return to Wolves following his release by Manchester City.

But as it stands, Wolves are yet to enter the race for the big Danish defender.

 during a game at Rotherham.

By the time he'd returned to fitness towards the end of that season, the boss who brought him to Wolves - Dave Jones

But with Wolves then finding themselves in need of defensive cover, Bischoff was again borrowed from City by current manager Glenn Hoddle with a view to a permanent signing.

By then, however, Joleon Lescott and Jody Craddock were in imperious im·pe·ri·ous

form as Wolves rounded off the season on a high, leaving Bischoff limited to just two starts out of position at right-back and two substitute appearances.

Wolves declined to push the permanent deal through, leaving the Danish under-21 international to suffer more frustration this campaign thanks to injury and not getting a chance at City.

Bischoff eventually moved out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, where ironically he impressed during a 3-1 win at Molineux in March.

Now a free agent after being released, and with Wolves likely to lose Lescott this summer, the cultured 24-year-old may fit the bill as a potential replacement, a possibility that would certainly appeal.

"I can't say too much about any clubs that are interested in me - my agent is dealing with that," said Bischoff, who made a total of 11 appearances in his two Wolves loan spells.

"But if Wolves wanted to come in, of course I would be interested.

"I enjoyed my time there very much and made some very good friends at the club.

"They are a good club who I would be very interested in joining."

Jones' Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday are both understood to be keen on Bischoff, but his agent Karsten Aabrink also admits Wolves would be an attractive proposition.

"As far as I am aware there hasn't been any interest from Wolves yet but of course they are a club Mikkel would be very interested in," he said.

"He really enjoyed his time there and it is the sort of club where he could have a very good future.

"As it stands at the moment there are four or five options for Mikkel in England, as well as others in Scandinavia and Germany.

"It's just a case of waiting to see what happens but I think his priority is going to be to stay in England."
