Football: Billy the kid in glory bid.


BIRTLEY'S Billy D Dolan will lead the Tyneside victory charge in the British Boys' Club Championships at Hull on Sunday.

Dolan takes on Iksham Lone of Burmantofts in Class A hoping to join two stablemates, Callum Graham and Mark White, in the next round.

Graham and White have byes after they and Dolan became North East Boys' Club champions at Spennymoor.

"To have three area winners going through is a great compliment to our junior section," said Birtley head coach Ronnie Rowe.

"We're back on the championship trail with Danny, who showed all his skills to beat Ellis," said Benwell coach Bill Fawcett. "Though another of our fighters, Zubair Khan Zubair Khan (born February 7, 1983) was an English cricketer. Born in Birmingham, he was a left-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler who played for Derbyshire during the 2000 season. , lost in the regional round. He's only 17 and improving all the time.
