Football: Bentley and Keane.. the face of modern transfers.

WE'VE learned a lot about the modern transfer system this summer.

There is no such thing as a transfer between two clubs. It has to be a "tug-of-war".

There is no such thing as a transfer fee any more. The amount paid is either "undisclosed" or "subject to addons", meaning unlike the first pounds 1million player we will never see the first pounds 100m player because no one will ever be told the truth about how much he cost. And it's now compulsory for every signing to reveal they have worshipped their new club since their first hour as a foetus.
