Football: Baros is quick off the mark.

LIVERPOOL striker Milan Baros opened his account for the Reds with the only goal of last night's friendly win against Le Havre.

The Czech capitalised on Le Havre's failure to clear a ball into the penalty area by midfielder Steve Gerrard in the 26th minute.

Liverpool used the match to give match time to 22 players, with Baros among several summer signings to pull on the famous red jersey for the first time.

German defender Markus Babbel Markus Babbel (born September 8 1972 in Munich) is a former German international footballer who played as a defender.

Starting out in the German Bundesliga, his first club was Bayern Munich, for whom he played initially from the youth squad, forging to the first team and
 also made his first appearance for Liverpool since he began a long battle with illness.

Teenage strikers Florent Sinama Pongolle and Anthony Le Tallec Anthony Le Tallec (born October 3 1984 in Hennebont, Brittany, France) is a French football player, who plays as a forward or an attacking midfielder. He currently plays for Le Mans, on loan from Liverpool.  both impressed for Le Havre and came close to beating Jerzy Dudek in the Liverpool goal.

Both players are Liverpool-bound and expected to move at the beginning of next season.

Liverpool now head for a week's training camp in Switzerland, where they are expected to be joined by new signing Lee Bowyer.
