SEE you Djimi! Liverpool crashed out of the FA Cup to one of the craziest own goals in the competition's history.

Traore's tragic 51st-minute slip gave Burnley a famous third-round success but even delighted Turf Moor fans would struggle to describe the goal without laughing. Rafael Benitez's left back got in a terrible tangle

trying to clear Richard Chaplow's cross and only managed to sweep the ball between his legs and past stranded Jerzy Dudek.

There was more humiliation for Liverpool in the 86th minute when Antonio Nunez was sent off for elbowing Tony Grant in the face.

Kop boss Benitez gambled on a young, vastly under-strength side, with just three players left from Saturday's defeat to Manchester United.

But the Spaniard said: "They tried. The problem is when you play four competitions you need to use your squad - I don't think it was a mistake.

"Burnley started at a high tempo and played well, after that we controlled the game. They had counter-attacks but a draw would have been the best result.

"It was a mistake when you need to clear the ball, and we need to learn about those things."
