LINFIELD boss David Jeffrey David Jeffrey is a former Northern Irish footballer who played for Linfield, he is now team manager. He was previously a captain of Ards.

In the 2005/2006 season Jeffrey guided Linfield to a clean sweep of domestic trophies.
 says he won't risk the club's financial stability after signing keeper Alan Mannus Alan Mannus (b. 19 May 1982 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Northern Irish professional footballer currently playing for Linfield, the most successful club in the Irish Premier League.  on a three-year full-time contract at the weekend.

Mannus, 24, is the fourth Linfield player alongside Peter Thompson, Paul McAreavey and Michael Gault n. 1. (Geol.) A series of beds of clay and marl in the South of England, between the upper and lower greensand of the Cretaceous period.  to sign full-time terms at Windsor Park in the past six months.

But while Jeffrey says Linfield are determined to go down a full-time route, the Blues boss insists the club won't jeopardise its future by chasing an unrealistic dream.

"We only have to look at some of the clubs in the eircom League who are full-time and experiencing financial difficulties," he said.

"Linfield has gone through hard financial times in the past and we aren't out of the woods yet.

"It is our dream to become full-time but we will be realistic about it."

Meanwhile, PORTADOWN won't be pursuing their interest in former Rangers defender Gary Bollan who guested in Saturday's 2-0 friendly loss to St Pat's Athletic.

Elsewhere, former Shamrock Rovers and Dublin City full-back Gavin McDonnell signed for GLENAVON at the weekend.
