MY gut instinct says a substance-over-style Rangers will be harder to beat and scrape it at the death in a close battle with Celtic. Relegated: Gretna. Div 1: Champs Dunfermline; bottom Stirling. Div 2: Champs Ayr United; bottom Queen's Park. Div 3: Champs Stenhousemuir; bottom East Stirling.

IT will be tighter this year but Celtic have spent wisely and should have strength in depth to edge out a rejuvenated Rangers. Gretna's fairytale looks set to end with so much against them. CELTIC are odds on but will struggle to keep everyone happy in such a big squad while Gers have signed enough quality to sneak it. Gretna's first spell in the top flight will be brief.
