Football: BHOYS TARGET ROY TO QUIT BAYERN.

CELTIC target Roy Makaay last night warned he WILL quit Bayern Munich this summer if the top-heavy German giants sign another striker.

Bayern have already snapped up Italy hitman Luca Toni from Fiorentina and Alemania Aachen forward Jan Schlaudraff.

While Werder Bremen's Miroslav Klose, Golden Boot winner at the 2006 World Cup, is next on their shopping list.

And former Deportivo La Coruna ace Makaay, 32, has made clear to Bayern supremo Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that he will not settle for a place on the bench at the Allianz Arena.

Rummenigge said: "Roy Makaay has told us that he would like a transfer if we sign Miroslav Klose and, as far as the club is concerned, that is fine."

Makaay joined Bayern for pounds 12 million in 2004, but the player is out of contract next summer.

Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven in his homeland are also reported to have shown interest in 42-times capped frontman.

Meanwhile, Celtic's hopes of landing Stephen Appiah could be wrecked after Fenerbahce opened talks on a new deal.Appiah, 26, was a key part of the Turkish side's successful league championship bid.

German sides Schalke and Bayern Munich, Italian giants Juventus and the SPL champions are all keen to snap him up.

But Fenerbahce do not want to lose their star man this summer.

Appiah said: "I have been called by the management to discuss the extension of my contract. "I am aware there are several clubs who are in talks to sign me.

"I just have to be very sensible about the situation and listen to what Fenerbahce have to say because I am still contracted to them until 2009."
