TOTTENHAM manager Juande Ramos has ruled out any possibility of Dimitar Berbatov leaving the club next month The Bulgarian, 26, scored 23 times in his debut campaign for Spurs in 2006-07 and was rumoured to have attracted a host of suitors in the summer.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly keen on another move for Berbatov in January, but Ramos insists the former Bayer Leverkusen hitman will stay in north London.

"There is no chance Berbatov will leave in January.

On the contrary, we need Berbatov because if we want to reach our objectivesweneed a player of his class," he said.

"I can only tell you that Berbatov is a great player and with so little money it's impossible to take him.

"They have to put a lot of money on the table and many good players to compensate for the quality of Berbatov.

"Dimitar for us is a player who is not for sale. It will be very difficult, very complicated for anyone to take him."

Meanwhile, Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda is out to wreck Arsenal's unbeaten home record in the Carling Cup semi-final.

After Spurs ended Manchester City's perfect record at Eastlands this season with Tuesday's 2-0 win, Chimbonda said: "We would love to be the first team to beat Arsenal at the Emirates this season.

Everybody wants to win something and the League Cup is a great opportunity.

"We can win the trophy this season. We can achieve anything when we perform like we did against Manchester C ity."
