Football: BATTERED LING'S STILL CONFIDENT; Port Vale 3 Leyton Orient 0.


MARTIN LING Martin Ling (born July 15 1966) is the current manager of English football side Leyton Orient of League One. As of May 20, 2007 Ling was the 8th longest serving manager of a league club in England.

He first played for Orient in 1996, when he joined from Swindon Town.
 insisted Orient can survive in League One, despite blaming defensive frailties for this opening day drubbing.

Two strikes from Leon Constantine Leon Constantine (born February 24 1978) is an English professional footballer.

Constantine was born in Hackney, London and played for Edgware Town before joining Millwall in September 2000.
 and a goal from Akpo Sodje wrapped up a comfortable win for Martin Foyle's Vale side.

But Orient boss Ling claims that his side are still good enough to prosper following promotion last term.

He said: "Despite the result I don't think we have anything to worry about. League One isn't much different to League Two from what I've seen and we just need to lift our performances."
