OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER Ole Gunnar Solskjær (born 26 February 1973 in Kristiansund, Norway) is a former Norwegian footballer who spent the vast majority of his career playing for Manchester United. He played 366 times for the Red Devils and scored 126 goals during a very successful period for the club.  has hailed rising star Giuseppe Rossi Giuseppe Rossi (born 1 February 1987, in Teaneck, New Jersey) is an Italian-American football player. He currently plays for the Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF. He plays in the second striker position. Rossi was raised in Clifton, New Jersey, in the USA.  as the one of the best finishers he has ever seen.

It is now 18 months since Sir Alex Ferguson plucked Rossi from Parma's academy, much to the disappointment of the Italians, who sensed the American-born forward could develop into an outstanding player.

Those initial signs have proved correct, Rossi quickly emerging as the most lethal goalscorer to come through United's ranks since Paul Scholes Paul Aaron Scholes (born November 16 1974) is an English football player who has spent his whole career at Manchester United. One of the best midfielders of his generation,[1] Scholes has been praised many times for his modesty and attitude towards the game.  a decade earlier.

The 18-year-old has continued his prolific reserve-team form through to senior level.

After netting on his Premiership debut at Sunderland in October, he scored twice in Wednesday's FA Cup hammering of Burton Albion.

"Giuseppe is a great talent and an exceptional finisher, one of the best I have ever seen," said Solskjaer. "He has a football brain and he thinks about scoring goals before he gets the ball.

"His movement is good, his work-rate is tremendous. He is also humble enough to know he still needs more experience.

"But there is no doubt he has a very bright future indeed."

Rossi, United's fifth-highest scorer this season, is creating goals too. He set up both Kieran Richardson For the English actor, see .

and Ryan Giggs against Burton, as well as providing Louis Saha with two gilt-edged chances.

"Providing an 'assist' is as good as scoring a goal," said Rossi. "I always look to get on the ball and try to make something happen when I get it.

"Every young player wants to play in front of a big crowd at Old Trafford and I just want to impress the management enough to keep these kind of experiences going.

"There are so many great players here, but I feel I am learning a lot just by training with them. I hope that will help me."

Rossi is unlikely to keep his place for Sunday's crunch encounter with Liverpool and Solskjaer is almost certain to stand down too as Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy Rutgerus Johannes Martinius van Nistelrooy (originally spelled Van Nistelrooij) (born 1 July 1976 in Oss, North Brabant) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a centre forward for Real Madrid and the Dutch national team.  return.

Meanwhile, Gary Neville has defended Manchester United's attitude towards the FA Cup.

The skipper is hoping to lead United to a record 12th success in the tournament.

The England international feels the anti-FA Cup sentiment surrounding United stems from the decision not to play in the competition six years ago, instead taking up an invitation t play in the World Club 1 Championship in Brazil.

"Manchester United are the most successful club in FA Cup history," he said "People who say we don't take it seriously don't have the facts to back it up.

"I don't know where these rumours start. Maybe it was when we didn't play because of the World Club Championship.

"The players would have liked to have done both and so would the manager. There was huge pressure to play in the World Club Championship and I don't see how we can be criticised."

MANCHESTER United have denied having a mouse problem at Old Trafford.

After Wednesday's FA Cup replay, a number of Burton players claimed they saw a mouse close to the tunnel in the corner of the stadium.

"Like all public places, from time to time we do find mice near or inside the stadium," said United spokeswoman.

"There is no mice problem at Manchester United."
