IT'S a star-spangled betting weekend as the NFL gets down to the nitty gritty with the divisional play-offs. When the season kicked off we turned to our American Football guru Alan McKinlay and he tipped New England Patriots for Super Bowl glory at 4/1.

We told you he was genius and the boy didn't let us down - the Patriots are now 8/11 after their amazing 16-0 regular season.

So here are Macca's bets for the weekend: New England to beat Jacksonville by between one and six points - it's 5/1 with Ladbrokes. Jacksonville won't beat the Patriots and this is the value bet. Indianapolis Colts to cover the 7.5point spread (ie win by eight points or more) in their clash with the San Diego Chargers - it's 10/13 with Ladbrokes. Peyton Manning and the Colts are brilliant at home and San Diego's offense cannot compete in a shoot-out.
