Football: ELEVEN AND HELL FOR SAD SAMOANS.

SHELL-SHOCKED Samoan coach David Brand still finds football baffling.

The ex-Stockport Country striker was left scratching his head after his novices were rumbled by an ELEVEN goal avalanche on Saturday.

He said: "We lost by smaller scores to better teams like Notts Forest and Everton in England last week. We came here and get thumped by a cricket score. How does that add up?"

Meanwhile, holders Everton tuned up for today's clash with Shamrock Rovers with a 2-0 win over County Londonderry with James Vaughan and Scott Phelan were on target.

JUNIOR RESULTS: C Orchard 0, Norwich 1; Dundalk SL 1, Birmingham 1; Hearts 0, NK Factor 0; Livingston 2, Preston 2; Shamrock R 3, M Haifa 1; Swindon T 2, Kilmarnock 1; Co.
