Football: Blackburn star: I may give Vogts more Amo.
The Italian was a huge hit during his time at Rangers and can apply for a British passport after spending more than five years in the United Kingdom.
There has already been talk of Celtic duo Didier Agathe and David Fernandez becoming `naturalised' British citizens to play for Scotland.
Amoruso has now opened the door for himself to receive a shock call- up by Berti Vogts.
He revealed: ``It would be a great honour to play for Scotland because everyone knows how I feel about the country.
``I had the best years of my life in Glasgow and I began to feel like part of me was Scottish.
``If Berti Vogts wants me to play for his team I would find it very difficult to say no.
``I would love to play for Scotland and try to reach the World Cup.
``I'll also need to speak to my family and see how they would feel about me changing nationality and maybe playing against Italy in the World Cup qualifiers.''
In theory, the ruling could also allow Everton's Alessandro Pistone to play for England.
