UniPress Software, Inc., a leading provider of web-based service desk automation software, today announced that its flagship product FootPrints(R) now provides the Linux community with a highly flexible and scalable system to centralize and automate internal help desk operations, external support activities, online self-service, and other "request-centric" processes via the web.

The first service desk built for Linux from the ground up, FootPrints for Linux offers seamless integration with all components of the Linux operating environment, including Apache web servers, PERL, DBD/DBI, and Sendmail and other IMAP-compliant e-mail systems. In addition, this Linux-based system is offered in versions specifically designed to optimize performance and reliability by using MySQL, Oracle, or Postgres database environments.
