Food dept assures provision of sugar for industrial sector.PESHAWAR, November 12, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Ration Controller, Peshawar Saleem Raza Saleem Raza (born 5 July 1964, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan) is a former cricketer. After playing in eight first-class games for his native Lahore City from 1986-87 to 1987-88, Saleem Raza emigrated to the United Arab Emirates, for whom he competed in the 1994 ICC Trophy. has assured a delegation of Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI SCCI SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Chambers of Commerce and Industry SCCI Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry SCCI Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Pakistan) ) for provision of sugar for industrial sector in the province. The delegation comprising of the vice president SCCI, Zulfikar Ali Khan Ali Khan is a citizen of Pakistan, and a permanent resident of the United States.[1] One of his sons, Majid Khan, was held in extrajudicial detention, in secret interrogation centers, run by the CIA, for four years. , Irshadullah and Secretary Faqir Mohammad met the Ration Controller in his office on Thursday. The Ration Controller told the delegation that the Department of Food is making efforts for assuring sufficient supply of sugar in the market. However, he said that the provision of sugar in the market at control rate is not possible. Earlier, the delegation briefed the Ration Controller regarding problems faced by the pharmaceutical companies, confectionaries and bakeries due to unavailability of sugar in the market.
