, Food Safety Systems Inc. has opened its new state of the art facility in Houston.

The facility has 4,200 square feet of refrigerated processing capacity and 100,000 square feet of cold storage capacity. Operations at the new facility include reconditioning rejected loads of fruit and vegetables, as well as re-packing for food service, governmental agencies, retail sales and resteraunts. The company anticipates gross income from Houston operations to exceed $8.3 million in the first year alone.

The company has also begun its move into three additional distribution facilities located in the southeast, northeast and northwest. Completion of those facilities is anticipated to occur within the next four months. Information regarding the continued growth and expansion of the company is available, and shall be updated regularly, on the company's new Web site at foodsafetysystems.net.

Food Safety Systems Inc. has developed a complete process that incorporates an application and monitoring system utilizing either existing or custom designed spray application of Food Safe materials to fruit and vegetables after the initial chlorine bath.
