I was reading Childhood Education when I came across ... the top ten reasons why one should join the Association for Childhood Education International. I was particularly challenged by the number one reason, which says, "If you care about children, you need no other reason to be an ACEI ACEI Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor

 philosophy. ACEI's 2005 Conference will focus on the influence of government, pedagogy, and practice on the future of education. Plan now to attend and learn from some of the world's best teachers. You will also have opportunities to take part in ACEI's strategic direction, meet your Association's leaders and staff, get leadership training, and collect ideas to bring back home. This year's conference will be held in scenic Washington Washington, town, England

* Join one of ACEI's 18 committees and get involved. Committees meet annually to develop programs, promote the Association, represent members, review and recommend proposals, promote desirable educational conditions, and focus the Association's attention on specific concerns. All members, including Basic, Student, Professional, and Retired, are eligible to join a committee. Constitutional changes and Resolutions presented by committees or individuals are voted on by members attending the conference at the Annual Business Meeting.

* Meet ACEI leaders and staff. The Annual Conference is one of the few times you can meet with Headquarters staff members and the ACEI Executive Board. If you have a question or concern, don't don't

* Learn how to start and run an ACEI Branch. Current Branch leaders and members interested in starting a Branch can attend the Leadership Training Workshop, share ideas with other Branch leaders, and meet with Headquarters membership staff.

* Collect ideas to bring back to your classroom. You are certain to return home from the conference with new ideas "New Ideas" is the debut single by Scottish New Wave/Indie Rock act The Dykeenies. It was first released as a Double A-side with "Will It Happen Tonight?" on July 17, 2006. The band also recorded a video for the track.  and perspectives. One of the most popular events at the conference is the Hall of Excellence, where educators present their best classroom ideas in poster sessions A poster session is the juried presentation of research information by representatives of several research teams at a congress or conference with an academic or professional focus. These are particularly prominent at scientific conferences such as medical congresses. . Students and new teachers also have the opportunity to exchange ideas at the very popular Make-n-Take workshops. Attendees will discover new books and educational products in the Exhibit Hall, celebrate their work as teachers at the Celebration Breakfast, and be inspired by outstanding keynote keynote /key·note/ (ke´not) in homeopathy, the characteristic property of a drug that indicates its use in treating a similar symptom of disease.  speakers and session presentations.

* Network with educators from around the world. Learn from experts by attending concurrent sessions and research forums. More than 250 proposals have been accepted.
