OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Flowers Heritage Foundation today announced the giveaway of one million condoms to San Francisco Bay Area and international healthcare organizations to help in the fight against AIDS. A 2006 California Department of Health Services Department of Health Services may refer to:

), the HIV Education and Prevention Project Alameda County (HEPPAC), the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics The Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. are a free health care service provider serving more than 34,000 people in Northern California. The Clinics were established in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco, California during the counterculture of the 1960s.  and others.

"Many community-based or AIDS services organizations, particularly those in the Bay Area, have been hit by recent budget cuts or restrictions," said Gregory Edwards, executive director, Flowers Heritage Foundation. "We want to address these gaps in services and provide assistance to those affected by HIV/AIDS HIV/AIDS Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome  as we continue our public health service."

The Flowers Heritage Foundation is donating condoms to several organizations in the Bay Area and abroad, including:

* Allen Temple Baptist Church (through which Flowers Heritage Foundation shipped 12,000 condoms to Zimbabwe)

* Black Coalition on AIDS

* Haight Ashbury Free Clinics

* HIV Education and Prevention Project of Alameda County

* Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation

* San Francisco AIDS Foundation

* Shanti
