Pest management professionals and first responders need to be specifically trained to handle these bees, and the Florida Pest Management Association has stepped up to the plate to provide training opportunities across the state in April and May.

The programs will be held in Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , Tampa, Panama City and Apopka.
