100 award from IDG's CIO magazine. The annual award program recognizes 100 organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). According to Abbie Lundberg, Editor in Chief of CIO magazine, "This year's winners are particularly remarkable for their ability to translate IT innovation into business value and solid ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot). ."

Hygeia, which won a CIO 100 in 2004, joins an elite group of honorees that have received this award two or more times.

"For the 2006 award, we were recognized for our ability to rapidly create new technology applications because of a modular development strategy," explained Rod Hamilton, Hygeia's Chief Information Officer. "One of the specific products that helped us win the award was an early warning notification system for high dollar claims that we built for a client with an extremely short turn around time by easily combining previously designed modules with new components.
