Graduate Nurse Practitioner Program Opts for MedAppz Integrated Scheduling, EHR, and Billing Technology; Finds it Affordable, Secure, Helpful for Compliance

WICHITA, Kan. -- MedAppz, the leader in web-based electronic health record (EHR) applications, announced today that Florida A&M's graduate nurse practitioner program has chosen to standardize on MedAppz iSuite technology in order to better manage scheduling, medical and billing records.

More than 20 Florida A&M nurse practitioner graduate students serve at clinics in medically underserved communities.

"A lot of these people are the working poor, uninsured, or even homeless," says Dr. Ballard-Ferguson. "That means that managing scheduling, records, and billing in the most efficient way possible is crucial, because it allows us to focus more of our energy and time on actually helping people." Ballard-Ferguson adds that MedAppz technology provides simple security and legal controls that effectively manage who has access to records, an important concern for legal compliance.

MedAppz in recent months has assumed a leadership role providing technology to clinics serving medically underserved communities. Besides the Florida A&M relationship, MedAppz is now working with a number of clinics in hurricane zones throughout the South.
