Florida's State Parks Voted America's Best!The Florida's Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Recreation and Parks received a National Gold Medal gold medal traditional first prize. Fifteen million visitors utilize these park areas annually. To meet the challenge of provide outstanding recreational experiences the Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Recreation and Parks utilized its "Partnership Program" to help supplement its needs. More than 1,900 private and public partners helped provide support in the form of funds, volunteer hours, and educational service programs.
