The Unisys InRoom Connect solution provides Gaylord Palms guests and meeting participants with high-speed Internet access through their own laptops to a variety of Internet services just as easily and as quickly as from their offices.

The Internet connections, through Cisco Systems Ethernet ports, enable users to take advantage of a powerful broadband network based on Cisco's advanced Building Broadband Service Manager (BBSM) and Cisco Catalyst high speed switches to access business applications and leisure services.

Unisys network engineers completed the installation at the Orlando area mega-resort -- which covers 65 acres and features 400,000 square feet of meeting and convention space -- in just over four weeks.
