Florida's Manatee Community College graduate Hilary English was recognized by the MCC District Board of Trustees for winning the Phi Theta Kappa Guistwhite Scholarship.[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Florida's Manatee Community College Manatee Community College (MCC), with the main campus based in Bradenton, Florida, is a two-year community college accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate in Arts, Associate in Applied Science and Associate in graduate Hilary English was recognized by the MCC District Board of Trustees for winning the Phi Theta Kappa Phi Theta Kappa, also ΦΘΚ or sometimes PTK (see usage note), is the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs, particularly community colleges and junior colleges. Guistwhite Scholarship. Designed to aid Phi Theta Kappa members in earning a bachelor's degree, the scholarship is awarded to students based on academic achievement, participation in Phi Theta Kappa programs and service to their college and community. English was one of 20 students in the nation to receive the scholarship. She also was awarded the Beverly Beall & R. Kemp Riechmann Foundation Scholarship, presented by MCC President Lars A.
