Florida's Bush wants to contract out the state's entire welfare system.

 -- Gov. Jeb Bush John Ellis "Jeb" Bush (born February 11, 1953) is an American politician, and was the 43rd Governor of Florida as well as the first Republican to be re-elected to that office. He is a prominent member of the Bush family: the younger brother of current President George W.  announced that he intends to turn over Florida's entire welfare system to private operators without waiting for federal approval. The move is unprecedented, though states have turned over parts of their welfare programs to private entrepreneurs under limited contracts. Florida's senators oppose the move.
