SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1998--GERS Retail Systems is pleased to announce that Barewood Outlet has purchased the GERS Sequel System, a powerful retail management tool developed to offer the latest advances in technology to the home furnishings furnishings

Barewood consulted with several other retailers before choosing the GERS system. "I looked for about a year-and-a-half before deciding on GERS because I liked how their software and hardware people work closely together with the retailer, something I didn't see with the other software systems I investigated," said Robin Grace, vice president of Barewood Outlet. "And since we have plans to expand our organization, we feel the powerful system GERS offers was the best one to accommodate us."

Barewood Outlet is a high-end, natural-wood home furnishings retailer. The three store and one warehouse operation is located in Tampa, Fla., and has been in business for about eight years. Future plans include opening more outlets.

"We welcome Barewood Outlet to our outstanding family of retail clients and are confident we can more than meet their expectations of our system and support staff as we have done with hundreds of other retailers," said GERS vice president Dennis Conforto. "What's great about the GERS system is that it can grow with the retailer. And since Barewood looks to expand in the future, we plan on being with them every step of the way."

In addition to the GERS Base Package, the modules purchased by Barewood Outlet include POS (1) See point of sale and packet over SONET.
