Florida's Hottest Emerging Growth Companies to Present at 2005 Florida Tech Transfer Conference.


TAMPA, Fla. -- Florida's most promising university spinout companies will showcase their firms to potential investors and business partners at the Innovation Florida 2005 Emerging Growth Company Showcase on May 18. The showcase is part of the 2nd Annual Florida Tech Transfer Conference, which will take place at the Hilton Walt Disney World Noun 1. Company presentations will begin at 1:30 pm and continue to 3:30 pm. Brent Britton of Akerman Senterfitt, the Innovation Florida showcase sponsor, will act as master of ceremonies. An exhibit hall and technology expo with live demonstrations will be held concurrently. Attendees and the media are invited to learn more about the presenting companies at their booths and view live demonstrations of products and prototypes developed by university researchers.

The Conference, produced by the Florida Research Consortium, Tampa Bay Technology Forum, and Central Florida Technology Partnership, will feature emerging technologies and commercialization opportunities from the state's leading research universities. The event's premier sponsors are the Florida High Tech Corridor Council and Florida Trend's Research Florida.

More than 400 industry executives, entrepreneurs, university researchers, and investors from around the country are expected to attend.

Conference fees are $245 for Florida Research Consortium and Tampa Bay Technology Forum members, $295 for non-members before April 15. Regular registration fees $295 for members, $345 for non-members from April 16 through May 11. University participants and students receive substantially reduced pricing on conference fees.
