Mr. Rodgers retired from the IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Corporation after a 34-year career. For a 10-year period, Mr. Rodgers served IBM as the Vice President of Marketing where he was responsible for marketing activities in the U.S and 131 countries.

Mr. Rodgers has authored several marketing and motivational books including the bestseller, THE IBM WAY and GETTING THE BEST OUT OF YOURSELF AND OTHERS. He was named Marketing Statesman of the Year by Sales and Marketing Executives International in 1987 and holds honorary Doctor of Law degrees from Miami University and Hartwick College, as well as a Doctor of Letters Doctor of Letters (Latin: Litterarum doctor; D.Litt.; or Litt.D.) is a university academic degree.

In the United Kingdom, Australia, and certain other countries, the degree is a higher doctorate, above the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.
