Flooding Causes Boil Water Order and Water Treatment Plant Closure.


WESTFIELD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 1999--

Flooding of the Raritan River The Raritan River is a major river of central New Jersey in the United States. Its watershed drains much of the mountainous area of the central part of the state, emptying into the Raritan Bay on the Atlantic Ocean.  has forced Elizabethtown Water Company and its subsidiaries, the Edison and Liberty Water Companies to issue a boiled water warning and to close one of the Company's primary water treatment plants.
