Flood Bill welcomed.


A GOVERNMENT Bill on flood and water management has been welcomed in a town hit by flooding.

Hundreds of families in Barry fell Barry Fell (born Howard Barraclough Fell June 6, 1917 in Lewes, Sussex, England and died on April 21, 1994, of heart failure in San Diego, California) was Professor of invertebrate zoology at the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology.  victim to flash floods in July 2007, with dozens trapped in homes and cars as drains overflowed.

Rhoose, Dinas Powys Dinas Powys is a large village, a community and a refortified hill fort in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales. It is on the outskirts of Cardiff, about 5 km from the city centre on the A4055 road from Cardiff to Barry.  and Cowbridge were also hit. Dr Ian Johnson, Plaid Cymru's candidate for the Vale of Glamorgan, said: "We know from our own experiences in Barry in July 2007, and fromwhatwe've seen over the last week, just how damaging a failure to prepare for heavy rainfall can be.

"As we've seen so often in recent years, improvements in managing the risk of flooding are well overdue."
