Flight accord with UK.


The United Kingdom and the Dominican Republic governments signed a bilateral agreement that opens the way for regular commercial flights, reports DR1 Daily News (March 23, 2006). The accord, signed by Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso and his British counterpart, Jack Straw, states that airlines determined by both governments will have equal opportunities to compete on routes.

Suppliers of green houses and trucks with refrigeration capability to produce and transport vegetables are sought. The project also involves a packing plant.
