Flextronics to Acquire Telcom, Expands Business Unit.Flextronics International Ltd. (Singapore) has acquired Telcom Global Solutions, Inc. (Irvine, TX), a provider of network planning, design and optimization services for telecommunications original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Telcom will become part of Flextronics Network Services, a provider of network installation and commissioning services. Telcom is a global supplier of wireless network and RF consulting services for the wireless telecommunications industry and serves many of the largest carriers and equipment suppliers on a worldwide basis. The company's global operations Global Operations is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Barking Dog Studios and published by both Crave Entertainment and Electronic Arts. (IE, Oakland, NJ), a systems test equipment developer and manufacturer. This acquisition will enhance Flextronics' capacity and capabilities in the functional test market. IE develops automated test equipment (ATE) systems worldwide for the communications, consumer, automotive, medical and aerospace industries. The company has experience and in designing and building custom test systems for optical and wireless network equipment. Ron Snyder, president of Flextronics Design, commented that, "We welcome IE's 200 plus employees in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire New Hampshire, one of the New England states of the NE United States.
